The sun is shining. It’s summer. There are parks just waiting to be loved. What to do?
Take a picnic basket, blanket, whatever you’re reading AND of course food, to your favourite outdoor spot. Right now ours is Albert Park in our new home of Auckland. The cost? Whatever you’re willing to pay for the food, but even the cheapest food will suffice for a nice day in the park. The picnic kit may set you back about $20-$40 but it’s well worth it (ours was gifted to us by our wonderful brother-in-law, but you can find them at Briscoes, Kathmandu, or the Warehouse if you’re in NZ). We use ours all the time and packing it makes you feel like you’re Christopher Robin setting off on an adventure with Pooh.
And in case there’s no summer for you to enjoy, just clear a spot in your living room, set down a blanket and light some candles – I smell wintery seduction.
